With a background as a former CPA and tax accountant for regional and national firms, David possesses a unique skill set that enables him to assist his clients in many areas of financial planning and wealth accumulation.

David is insurance and securities licensed in various states throughout the US, including California, Nevada, Arizona, Oregon, New York, New Jersey and Pennsylvania.

David has built a reputation for delivering exceptional financial guidance to his clients. As the leader of a dedicated team, he is committed to helping individuals, families, and businesses clarify, prioritize, and achieve their financial goals.

David and Emily, his wife of almost 30 years, reside in Los Angeles, where they raised their children, Lucas and Sarah. David has been involved in several charities and industry boards where he has given his time, resources and his knowledge. David enjoys traveling with his family, snow skiing, hiking, biking, and spending time at the beach.

Michael Lawson has been helping his clients with life insurance and financial products and services that meet their needs since 2010 as part of New York Life Insurance Company and NYLIFE Securities, LLC. He is committed to providing individuals, families and businesses with up-to-date knowledge and expertise of insurance and financial product trends while offering outstanding service; earning him a reputation for integrity and dedication to his clients.

Michael is a member of the National Association of Insurance & Financial Advisors (NAIFA) California, as well as earning a membership in the Million Dollar Round Table (MDRT) in 2013 and 2016^. Michael earned an undergraduate business degree in accounting from the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign.

Michael ran a successful entertainment consulting firm for four years, called Crossover Entertainment Group, from 2006 to 2009. Crossover specialized in personal talent management, media production and branded entertainment corporate consulting. Prior to launching Crossover Entertainment Group, Michael spent 11 years in executive management and leadership positions at Houlihan Lokey, a global mergers and acquisitions investment bank, and 7 years with Arthur Andersen LLP, an accounting and financial consulting firm. With both companies, Michael worked in upper-division global leadership teams and was responsible for management, strategic planning, business development, expansions and other special projects.
